Presenter and expert on property Sarah Beeny have opened up on her breast cancer diagnosis and stated that she does not plan to let it hinder her from doing her duties.
Sarah Beeny has revealed she has breast cancer and is receiving treatment for cancer.
The presenter and expert on property 50 are well recognized for her involvement in property-related shows such as Help! My House Is Falling and Sarah Beeny’s New Life In The Country.
She revealed that she’s fighting the disease with chemotherapy that she began this week. She will begin a radiotherapy course at the beginning of the year.
The reality star confessed to having “a tiny bit of a panic attack” when she was told the news in a hospital consultation room and pledged to never reveal to her children what she learned about the diagnosis.
The presenter is mother to four children together with her husband, artist Graham Swift, to who she was married in 2003.
Concerning her treatment and the support team, Sarah told the Telegraph: “I’m lucky because I have a family that we’re all talking to.”
She shared how her son asked her whether she was okay when she informed him of her cancer. She also talked to everyone.
Sarah said: “They just said, “You’ll keep your word?’ I told them, ‘I’m going to assure you I’ll stay around for a long time. This is going to prove challenging. But I’m adamant that I’ll not be honest.”I think they’re okay after I mentioned that.”
To assist their mother in preparing her for treatment, the boys cut off their hair for her rather than waiting for it to fall out due to the chemotherapy. She joked that she wouldn’t recommend anyone let four teenagers loose in their hair.
She ridiculed her family and said they were not going to be famous hairdressers; however, she said that, despite the crying prior, there was a feeling of happiness following.
The presenter then said she’s planning to draw from your “inner strength” during her treatment.
Sarah was the mother of her deceased father at the age of 10. She battled breast cancer before being discovered to have a brain tumor.
Despite her diagnosis, Sarah is determined to work on her job and is focusing her attention on the launch of a new Channel 4 program.
The author also has a book scheduled to be released sometime in 2015.
She has previously spoken out about her wild teenage relationship with her husband had “horrified” their family members at the beginning.
After dropping out of university in the hopes of becoming an actress, 17-year-old Sarah went on a journey across the globe after being disqualified by drama school. She claimed the incident left her feeling “lonely as well as seasick,” and she decided to return home and landed a few odd jobs.
